Live from Vilnius

Hi everyone!

I'm giving a keynote speech in a few minutes here at the Siemens Arena
in Vilnius, Lithuania at the Login09 Event. I'm speaking about how
Apple returned from the brink of bankruptcy using great design and
great marketing.

In particular I will spill the beans about how Apple
pioneered in social media long before it was called social media by
addressing very human needs of community, purpose and connectedness.
I'll try to liveblog today. In the meantime enjoy this picture of the
local language version of Leander's book on Steve Jobs.photo.jpg

I really enjoyed my talk.  Great crowd, fun social media experiments.  Here are a few more photos taken live from my iPhone (the last one while on the stage live)

  1. Amazing speech! Thanks for useful information, and this “country-animal math” :), hope to see you in Lithuania again. Best wishes!

  2. I’m a bit surprized how fast You are in bloging 🙂
I think it was greatest speech there. I realy it liked. I hope someday I will see another your presentation! 🙂

  3. Nice and interesting speech, but I was thinking, what was the point of it in bloggers conference? Bloggers don’t sell electronics or anything, so what’s the point?

  4. Thanks everyone for your great hospitality. I really enjoyed myself and had fun too!
Originalas, good question. The point is that bloggers should understand and relate to people’s needs, much the same way Apple did when it turned its fortunes around by leveraging social media before it was known by that term. If Apple could reinvent itself using these tools my hope was that everyone, especially bloggers, could learn a thing or two.
And now you can interact with your audience in real-time using rich media instead of just blogging in one-dimension. Imagine if we were not doing this via comments on this blog but “face to face” using our webcams and mics and having this dialog with hundreds in real-time. With Dimdim, now you can.
