Dream Weaver was designed around a simple promise: build something delightful for your kid without becoming yet another company that knows too much about your family. Phone number for sign-in, your child's first name and a few interests, a Stripe subscription if you go Premium. That is the whole list.
The short version
What we collect
Two profiles live in Dream Weaver. Yours, the parent, used for authentication and billing. Your child's, used only as input for the story prompt.
Your phone number, used to sign you in and to deliver the nightly story SMS. That is the only identifier we require. Dream Weaver does not ask for your email, your last name, your address, your age, or your gender.
If you subscribe to Premium, Stripe collects the billing information needed to charge your card. That data lives at Stripe, not in our database. We see only that you are an active Premium subscriber.
Only what you enter on the Profile page:
We do not collect or store: your child's last name, age (just the age range you select), address, school, photo, voice, location, or any other identifier. Dream Weaver does not need it and we do not want it.
No. Only parents (or other adult caregivers) can sign in. Authentication is by your phone number, verified via SMS code. Your child is described in your account but cannot log in independently.
Every story generated for your child is saved in your Calendar so you can re-read favorites, continue an adventure, or share with grandparents. Stories stay in your account until you delete them or delete the account itself.
If you would like a specific story removed without deleting your whole account, email steve@skytech.io.
Sub-processors
A short list, kept intentionally small:
No. Dream Weaver uses Google Gemini through Google Cloud's commercial API. Under the API terms, prompts and outputs are not used to train Google's general-purpose models. The full Google AI for developers data-use policy is at ai.google.dev/gemini-api/terms.
The same applies to imagery: illustrations are generated on the fly for each story and are not retained by Google for training.
Stripe handles the payment flow end to end. Your card number, expiration, and CVC are entered into a Stripe-hosted form and never touch Dream Weaver's servers. We receive only a tokenized reference and the metadata needed to grant Premium access. Stripe's privacy policy applies to the financial data they hold. See stripe.com/privacy.
Firebase and Gemini run on Google Cloud infrastructure, primarily in the United States. If you are an EU or UK family, your data may be transferred to and processed in the US under standard contractual clauses with Google.
Children's privacy
Dream Weaver is designed and marketed to parents and other adult caregivers. Children do not sign in, do not create accounts, and do not interact directly with the service. The information stored about a child (a first name, interests, bedtime) is provided by you, the parent, as part of your account setup.
We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you believe Dream Weaver has somehow collected information from a child without a parent's involvement, contact steve@skytech.io and we will delete it promptly.
We follow the spirit of COPPA (the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act): collect as little as possible, never share with third parties for advertising, and put the parent in control of every data point about their child.
Your rights
Two paths, both end the same way:
We process deletion requests within 48 hours. After deletion, your phone number, child profile, and entire story Calendar are removed from our database. Operational records that we are legally required to retain (Stripe transaction records, for example) may persist according to those services' own retention rules.
This action is irreversible. If you change your mind later, you can sign up again, but past stories cannot be recovered.
Yes. Email steve@skytech.io and request a story export. You will receive a PDF or text bundle of every story in your Calendar. We will hold the request for 7 days so you have time to back up before any deletion processes.
If you are protected under GDPR, CCPA, or a similar regime, you have the right to access, correct, port, and delete the data Dream Weaver holds. Email steve@skytech.io and we will respond within 30 days.
We do not sell personal information under the CCPA definition. We do not run third-party advertising anywhere in Dream Weaver.
No. Dream Weaver does not have advertising partners and does not share your data with marketers, data brokers, or analytics companies. The sub-processors listed earlier are the only services that ever see your information, and each of them is contractually limited to performing the function we hired them for.
Yes, over time. When Dream Weaver changes a meaningful data practice (a new sub-processor, a new feature that collects new information), this page will be updated and the change announced on the AI for the Rest of Us newsletter at stevechazin.com. We will never quietly expand data collection.
Dream Weaver is built by Steve Chazin, a one-person operation under the skytech.io umbrella. There is no parent company on the side of this you should worry about. steve@skytech.io reaches a human.
